Every year the NFL takes over London. Flight loads of American Football Stars arrive with their whole entourage of support, managers and their Cheerleader teams. My role at iON Camera was to oversee the brand partnership to ensure that we received the right contracted brand placement and look to expand on opportunities where possible. This included arranging artwork for stadium screens, banners, and signage. Arranging staff such as film crews, photographers, TV Presenters, sale staff and even our own iON branded Cheerleader team. Each of these had their own level of management such as writing briefs, sales training, and schedule management.

Regent Street and Trafalgar Square get closed down and are filled with American Football inspired attractions. Cheerleaders dance, perform and industry professionals talk tactics in front of huge crowds. We at iON had one of the largest features The iON NFL LAB, a huge construction that offers activities based upon elements found in the game, such as sprint, jump height, force pad and throwing accuracy. Each person has a sticker placed on their chest which resembled the new iON SnapCam and had their photo taken. At the end of the activity, they received an email containing their activity data as well as the photo and a video in which a clip of them was cut in. This encouraged sharing which achieved brand awareness and drove direct traffic to the iON website.
Inside Wembley Stadium we had the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot jump into the stadium with an iON Camera on a selfie stick (See Here) and the iON Fan Cam which picked out fans from the crowd and broadcast it on the big screen.

I ran a promotion and managed to get some support by Gullivers Travel and Jaguars. The prize included 1 x iON SnapCam, 2 nights in a London Hotel for two people, 2 tickets to the Saturday night Touch Down Party, 2 Game tickets, Autographed Jacksonville Jaguars helmet and Ball.
The Winner was Clive Rains and he took along his guest named Aarron. We put this edit together for our website news post and encouraged the winners to share it on their social channels.
